Just finish tutoring, nothing much left except marking their mock papers, and revising with them. Pretty confident they will do well since majority are smarter than me. Quite contradicting that i am the one teaching them. LOL.
And taking train has become one of the most adventurous event in my life. Apart from the 'train is coming'- dim sum dollies song, the tourists who asked me for directions also amused me every time.
Admittedly, when the songs started initially i find it quite funny and laughed to myself when they started singing 'train is coming...' when the train approaches. But it sorta of got more and more annoying, especially the 'move in move in' and 'give up your seat' songs. During peak hours, most of the time my face plastered against the door (exaggerations), how am i supposed to squeezed inwards?
Its damn irritating when i finally found a seat, and mind you its not the 'reserved' seats at the side, the 'give up your seat' lullaby rings and i had to look around for pregnant ladies and elderlies so that i wont feel guilty. And the people at sitting on the reserved seats are all ignorant of the songs since they have their earpieces attached to their heads, literally. This project just turned out to be ineffective since almost half the population listens to their music from their i pods or mp3 on their way home.
Just the other day, on the way to meet alice to go for the performance at acjc. A couple from China asked me with their fluent chinese, " Qing wen ou nan yuan di tie zhan zai na?"- meaning " may i know where is outram park mrt station?" I was puzzled, not because of their fluent mandarin but because we are at outram?! I told them we were already at outram. Then they started accusing im cheating them. Wth?! I just walked off since i was already late. LOL. Actually i was trying not to argue with them, as i might just spoil the image of singapore. LOL.
